AKZO Meta-Flex® Metal Sign Paint (acrylic enamel)
Akzo Meta-Flex is a series of single-component acrylic enamel topcoats designed to provide a fast cure, quality finish for the decoration of metal sign components.

*** One Step Brite White is a one component, high solids coating specifically designed for painting the interior components of electric sign cabinets. It is self priming, high coverage, corrosion resistant and fast drying. It offers exceptional illumination value regardless of the light source used.
These paints:

are designed for use with spray equipment. It is recommended they be thinned with Xylol or T-2001 thinner.

are sold by the gallon and may be shipped individually or in four gallon cases. For UPS shipments, no more than two gallons may be shipped in a single carton. A special box fee applies for each gallon and a hazardous shipment fee applies for each carton.

Akzo Grip-Gard Primer System
Grip-Gard wash primer is a self-etching, high build, sandable primer that provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. Grip-Gard works well on steel, galvanized steel, fiberglass and existing enamels. It has a five-day potlife and can be topcoated 30 minutes to six months after priming. Mixing ratio is one part primer (31284) to one part hardener (31285).

Grip-Gard® Plus Acrylic Polyurethane Intermix Base Colors
Grip-Gard Plus is a two-component polyurethane enamel that offers exceptional appearance, durability, coverage, and application properties for metal signage. All Grip-Gard toners are lead and chromate free. Designed as an Intermix toner system, Grip-Gard Plus is immediately available and is a planned future replacement for Grip-Gard and Grip-Gard High Solids paint products.

Akzo Grip-Gard BC (Basecoat Clearcoat) Complete System |

Note: The Grip-Gard BC Basecoat Clearcoat Complete system is referred to as GGBC in this section.
Akzo's GGBC system gives you three different product options (Basecoat, Single Stage Converter and Interior Binders) — all using the same set of toners, reducers and hardeners. It is the first true basecoat system designed specifically to meet the color, application and quality demands of the sign and exhibit manufacturer.

Option 1:GGBC Basecoat was designed to be a true basecoat system, therefore it provides excellent coverage and fast dry and tape times. For you, this means extremely fast production, particularly on multi-color signs. Grip-Gard BC Basecoat also provides excellent metallic orientation, a wide range of colors and easy application properties.
Option 2: GGBC Single Stage Converter is a specially blended acrylic resin which converts GGBC Basecoat colors into a fast drying, durable single stage urethane topcoat. With this system and additives the gloss level can be adjusted to meet any level required. By using the same toners, hardener and reducers, you now have two complete product lines with one set of toners. This means lower inventory requirements— and costs.
The Single Stage Converter enables the fast production of multicolor signs that can only be achieved with a true basecoat/clearcoat product. It also provides a fast-drying two component single stage coating for large one color areas.GGBC Single Stage Converter has the widest color range (including metallic colors) of any two component product in the market. Option 3:Grip-Gard BC Interior Binders provide the option of converting the GGBC toners into an extremely fast-drying interior coating without the need for a clearcoat. Grip-Gard Interior Binders come in two gloss levels which can be blended to achieve whatever gloss requirement is needed. The GGBC Interior line uses the same toners, hardeners and reducers as the GGBC Basecoat line, eliminating the need for costly additional inventory. GGBC Interior Coatings allow for a large range of solid, metallic and pearl colors which can be directly sprayed onto ADA compliant photopolymer, as well as most common plastics and any properly primed metal surface. GGBC Interior Coatings have excellent color fastness and mar resistance, and provides excellent resistance to common household cleaners
