EGL manufactures the Maxi-Vac®  manifold and complete pumping system for neon tubing.  The superior design and construction of this system provide the fastest, most consistent pumping speeds, and the brightest, cleanest neon tubes attainable.  The Maxi-Vac manifold virtually eliminates the leakage, breakage, contamination, and downtime common to older systems by eliminating the components that cause it.  Short lengths of heavy wall 32mm diameter borosilicate glass tubing are welded in a compact configuration that has the fewest number of connections, then annealed to remove strain.  The result is an extremely strong assembly that provides the highest possible flow rates, maximum vacuum integrity, minimal gas waste, and the easiest interior access for cleaning.  The two 25mm diameter main stopcocks and the 18mm gas stopcocks are machined from durable Teflon® , and feature a new coarse thread design that provides long life, fast actuation, and easy removal and re-threading for cleaning.  The stopcocks are also grease-free, eliminating the contamination problem associated with grease-type stopcocks. 

Several systems are available.  The most basic includes the borosilicate glass manifold with base and protective cover, 0-40mm Hg/TORR gauge, highly accurate vacuum gauge and oil diffusion pump.  Other available systems include the Series A70 direct drive vacuum pump, a bombarder and choke, gas transfer system, and a digital temperature gauge.  Please call us for a quotation on the EGL Maxi-Vac system.
